Air Testing & Mitigation
Radon Systems of Connecticut utilizes a continuous radon monitor for short term testing. This test is performed for a minimum of 48 hours in a closed house condition.
The continuous radon monitor delivers an hourly and average radon level over the entire testing period. This type of testing is one of the most accurate short term methods for testing the radon in the air. The test results are printed on site giving the owner instant knowledge of the radon concentration

Water Testing & Mitigation
Radon Systems of Connecticut uses Aquatek Labs, a State of CT Certified lab, to provide all of our water testing. A water sample is drawn from the house and sent to the lab to be analyzed. Typical time for results is 3 to 4 days.
Radon Removal In Water (under 10,000 pCi/1)
Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) is a type of water system installed for levels under 10,000 pCi/1. A typical system will consist of two stand alone charcoal filters that remove the radon and other small contaminants from the water. Yearly maintenance is required.
Aeration Water System (over 10,000 pCi/1)
Aeration Water Systems are the only effective method for reducing radon levels that are above 10,000 pCi/1. This system bubbles air through the water so that the radon is released into the air and vented outside.
